Can I set the number of reducers to zero?

After completion of mapper task the intermediate data will be stored in memory buffer in side data node only.Here no reduce task will be processed

Setting the number of reducers to zero is a valid configuration in Hadoop. When you set the reducers to zero no reducers will be executed, and the output of each mapper will be stored to a separate file on HDFS.

can be given as zero. So, the mapper output is an finalised output and stores in HDFS
