ODS: It is nothing but a collection of tables created in the Dataware house that maintains only current datawhere as OLTP maintains the data only for transactions, these are designed for recording daily operations and transactions of a business

ODS: Having data with Datwarehouse that will be stand alone. No further transaction will take place for current data which is part of the data ware house. Current data will be change once you upload through ETL on schedule basis.

OLTP : Having data with on line system which connected to network and all update on transaction hppened in seconds. Every second data summrasied value will get changed.

OLTP: Online Transaction Processing
The granularity of the data is Transaction i.e. stores each transaction.

ODS: Operational Data Store
As dataware house contains summarized data (Weekly/Monthly/Yearly). ODS may be used to maintain data with lower granilarity (Hourly/Daily).
