What is the method of loading 5 flat files of having same structure to a single target and which transformations I can use?

By Using the file list concept we can load number of files at time(if all files are same structure ) and for that we need to use the indirect option in session level.

File list:Here we need to give the all paths of the files end with .txt for example c:\informatica\infra shred\documents\emp.hyd\like we need to mention all files of full path.

IN session level use indirect option and need to mention directory path means file list path not other files.When ever you mention that file list path file path shown in below file list. txt

Use Indirect when we want to load multiple files through single session in the mapping

Use Indirect load for loading flat files having same structure.

  • The main data object present in between source and target is staging layer only, Staging layer will do eliminate the inconsistency data and gives the result data object
