Confirmation testing or re-testing: When a test fails because of the defect then that defect is reported and a new version of the software is expected that has had the defect fixed. In this case we need to execute the test again to confirm that whether the defect got actually fixed or not

Regression testing is usually used for regression errors.These errors occur when the functionality which was once operating normally has stopped operating at all. The reason of this can be modifications made in the program or the environment.

Unit testing is a software testing method by which individual units of source code, sets of one or more computer program modules together with associated control data, usage procedures, and operating procedures are tested to determine if they are fit for use.
