Proc means is used for to find discrptive statistics for continuous data.

The following SAS code is a sample stored process called stpwsmea.sas. This program is installed with SAS Integration Technologies; by default it is located in C:\Program Files\SAS\SAS 9.1\inttech\sample.

   %put &tablename;

   libname _WEBOUT xml xmlmeta = &_XMLSCHEMA;
   libname instream xml;

   proc means data=instream.&tablename;
      output out=_WEBOUT.mean;
   run;

   libname _WEBOUT clear;
   libname instream clear;

proc sort is used to sort the data in ascending or descending order

Proc Append The APPEND procedure bypasses the processing of data in the original data set and adds new observations directly to the end of the original data set.

proc freq is to find frequency for catogirical data

Proc print is used just to print the data tables.

Proc contents lists the structure of the specified SAS data set.
