starschema vs snowflakestarschema 1) the starschema is the simplest datawarehouse schma
1)the snow starschema
more complex datawarehouse model than a starschema. 2) it contains fact table surrounded by dimensional table. if the dimension are denormalized. 2) it contains fact table surrounded by dimensional table. if the dimension are normalized. 3)in starschema each of the dimension is represented ina single table 3) in snowflake schema at least one hierachy should exits in the dimension

Star schema is having de-normalized structure,whereas snowflake is having normalized structure.Star schema uses simple joins but snowflake uses complicated joins.star is having one dimension table whereas snowflake may be splitted into no. of pieces.queries runs faster,snowflake delay in processing.simple db structure in star and complicated db structure in schema
