Scenario: Report should get generated at district level. Filter List cascaded 1) Country 2) State 3) District 1) filter : Country: Lists all countries(India, US, Etc) -- User input INDIA 2) Filter : State : Lists all the states (KA,AP,TN (Only Indian States)) - USer input : KA 3) Filter : District : Lists all the Districts (Bangalore , Mysore etc only KA districts) - User inputs Bangalore alone.

Suppose if only District is set as the sole filter, then he will see all the districts all the countries, the user will not understand which district lies in which state/ He needs to search for district / Not cery userfriendly.

Selecting the values in one filter if it is effecting on the other filter then such kind of a filtering is known as "cascading filter". The cascading filters can be applied for hierarchy data.
