Tableau - what is context filter?and how it works?

hi all can any one explain brief......

In Tableau, by default all the filter are independently. it means each filter process on the Context filter dependent on the another filter.so we create a new type of filter is called context filter. context filters are independently in case if we define the filter in tableau dependently is context.

EX:i want state wise top 10 sales each product.

it display state wise top 10 sales. but compare each product see don't get the top 10 sales. then r.c-product-click on context.it will display the each product wise top 10 sales.
